Has every job I’ve had been in sales?
Yes, every job I have had since college has been in sales.
After I worked for the steel company, I got a job working for Xerox in Manhattan in their Park Avenue office.
The first two months I was with Xerox, they had us in sales training.
They had all of the trainees locked away in this conference room and all we did for two months was lean how to sell.
We didn’t learn anything about copiers, we learned objection handling, asking questions, and doing role playing.
Frankly, to this day, I’ll be selling and not even be aware of it.
