In life and in sports, there’s a gray area.
So I was playing football for the first time and I was following the rules. I was a defensive guard, blocking and tackling. And I was going in to tackle the quarterback and he got the pass off right at the right second, so I put my hand on his chest to stop myself. So the next guy comes in from my team, plants his helmet right on my hand and brake my hand.
That was definitely a gray area, no flag was called on the other player on my team. I was following the rules just a little bit too closely.
The moral of the story: play all the way through.
